6th Thilawa Community Coordination Meeting was held on (6th March 2018)

6th Thilawa Community Coordination (TCC) meeting was held at Myanmar-Japan Thilawa Development Office (MJTD) on 6th March 2018. 40 participants including MJTD, village administrators, representatives from project affected communities (PACs), Thilawa SEZ Management Committee (TSMC) and the technical support of JICA Expert Team attended the meeting. The objectives of the meeting are to review the development activities for PACs that have been done and planning by MJTD, to know the requests and complaints from community and to share the idea of Community-Driven Operational Grievance Mechanism (CDOGM). Firstly, MJTD gave an opening remark and shared the updated SEZ information. Continuously, MJTD reviewed the development activities and discussed with the participants from PACs on their requests. During the meeting, a villager from Ah Lun Sok Village raised concern over the environment issues that they have worried about and MJTD explained to understand. After the meeting, CDOGM was introduced by the design committee member and made the discussion among the participants together.
